Group Life Insurance
Protecting Your Income
Group Life Insurance (GLI), administered by Securian, provides financial protection for your named beneficiaries if you die while an active employee.
Basic GLI
Basic Group Life coverage is paid in full by K-C and provides insurance in the amount of two times (2x) your annual base pay (rounded to the nearest $100) up to a maximum of $2 million of coverage.*
*K-C paid Group Life above $50,000 is considered “imputed income” and is taxable to you. If you make more than $25,000 per year, you have the option to elect a flat $50,000 of coverage to avoid imputed income.
Additional Group Life Insurance

For Your Spouse/Partner*
You can purchase between $10,000 to $150,000 (in increments of $1,000) of Dependent GLI for your spouse/partner on an after-tax basis. The maximum coverage cannot exceed 3x your annual base pay.
For Your Child(ren)*
As long as you are enrolled in basic Group Life coverage, you can also purchase $10,000 or $20,000 of GLI coverage for your child(ren) or your spouse/partner's children.
