Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
How the Plan Works
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), adminstered by Zurich and formally known as Personal Accident Insurance, pays a benefit if you or your covered spouse experience a covered loss or injury as the result of a non-workplace accident.
The covered loss or injury must result from:
- A covered accident and from no other cause;
- Death, dismemberment, loss of sight, hearing or speech; or total and permanent disability within one year of the covered accident.
The level of benefit paid will vary depending on the severity of the accidental injury or disability. For specific plan details including conditions and exclusions, see the Summary Plan Descriptions on K-C Benefit Compass. Click on the Plan Information tile, scroll down, and choose Summary Plan Descriptions and Policy Booklets.
