Business Travel Insurance
Protection for Travel Accidents
The Business Travel Accident Insurance (BTA) plan gives you and your loved ones extra financial protection if you are disabled, severely injured, or if you die while traveling on Company business.
How the Plan Works
As an active employee, you are automatically enrolled in this coverage effective on your date of hire. The coverage is paid for by K-C. You cannot enroll your spouse or child(ren) in this coverage.
The benefit paid to you (or your named beneficiary, in the event of your death) for a qualifying business travel accident is five times (5x) your base pay.
Base Pay
Base pay for salaried employees is defined as your annual base pay including any shift differentials as of the preceding July 1, or date you first become eligible for coverage if later than July 1. Your base pay does not include overtime, incentive pay, bonuses, or any adjustments you receive as a result of a temporary assignment. For hourly employees, your annual base pay is your hourly rate of pay including shift differential but excluding overtime, incentive, or bonuses, multiplied by 40 (hours) times 52 (weeks).
